Dr. Scanlan is a highly experienced General Medical Practitioner with expertise in minor surgery, skin cancer checks, preventive care for coronary artery disease & diabetes, and sports injuries.
Professional Journey
After graduating in 1984, Dr. Scanlan completed extensive hospital training in emergency medicine, paediatrics, orthopaedics, obstetrics, anaesthetics, and general practice.
Since 1986, he has been practicing as a GP in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, eventually becoming the senior GP at Discovery Coast Dental and Medical Clinic in Agnes Water in 2017.
Passion for Health & Fitness
Dr. Scanlan strongly believes in a healthy lifestyle, focusing on nutrition, fitness, and sports injury management.
Beyond medicine, he maintains an active lifestyle through running, tennis, surfing, and managing a large cattle stud farm near Miriam Vale.
